\"Abstracte<\/p>\n

Matchmaking is een van die systemen die niemand opmerkt als het goed werkt, en iedereen opmerkt als het fout gaat. Voor Nexarena wilden we vanaf dag \u00e9\u00e9n een systeem dat eerlijke wedstrijden geeft zonder spelers minutenlang te laten wachten.<\/p>\n

Ons eerste matchmaking-algoritme keek uitsluitend naar Ranked Ladder-punten. Dat werkte in theorie, maar in de praktijk zorgde het voor lange wachttijden buiten piekuren, vooral in de hoogste en laagste rangen waar simpelweg minder spelers actief zijn.<\/p>\n

We hebben het systeem aangepast naar een glijdende schaal: hoe langer je wacht, hoe breder de acceptabele rangmarge wordt. Dit voelt in de praktijk goed aan \u2014 de eerste 30 seconden krijg je bijna altijd een tegenstander op vergelijkbaar niveau, en pas na een minuut breiden we de zoekruimte merkbaar uit.<\/p>\n

We blijven dit systeem finetunen op basis van speeldata, en delen grote wijzigingen altijd vooraf in het Journaal zodat de community kan meedenken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
